Taken in Calderglen Country Park, 24th July this year using the Camera360 app on an HTC Desire HD phone.
I seem to use my phone more than a normal camera these days. It's a little bit more fiddly to use, but it's more convenient for spur of the moment photos.
I had to zoom in quite a bit for this shot, and I'm not 100% happy with it, but I like it just the same. I have no idea what the fuzzy black "border" is at the edges...

Necropolis
Taken in the Necropolis in Glasgow in 2004. I'm not particularly religious, but I like how this cross looked against the (reasonably) sunny sky.
I seem to visit graveyards a lot (as a volunteer for the Scottish War Graves Project it kind of goes with the territory) so there may be more grave photos on this blog at some point.

Keys
These pictures were taken way back in 2004, so long ago that I can't remember what camera I used. Might have been an old Nikon coolpix which I bought second hand from a mate.
These were my house keys at the time, and this was taken at a family barbecue at my brother in laws house. This was at a picnic table, under a blue sun shade, which explains the slight blue tint to these pictures.
I don't remember how I got such a good closeup of these keys. Wish I knew as I struggle to get good closeups like this.
Hello.
Hi, my name's David. I live in Scotland, and if you've found this blog then you either know me (in which case I don't need to introduce myself) or you know so little about me that I could just make it up.
Anyway, this blog isn't about me, it's about pictures.
A few of my friends started doing the 365 project - this is where you take one picture every day and let people see them.
I liked the idea. I wanted to try it. There was one snag - I'm monumentally lazy. Chances are I'd either let the idea fizzle out after a while or I'd forget one day, or not post something for a day or whatever. It didn't seem like I would have the staying power for it.
But...I like taking pictures. Sometimes I take a nice picture, and want other people to see it. I have a few I've taken in the past I really like.
So this is less of a "photo a day" blog, and more of a "sometimes I'll show you a nice picture" blog.
Feel free to comment or insult my picture taking abilities. I'll try and discuss each picture, telling you when it was taken, what the context of it was. Sometimes I won't. Either because the only context was that I thought it would make a nice picture (and who wants to read that time after time?) or because I've forgotten..
